Slow it Down
Over the last few months, my life has been a roller coaster. Busy kid schedules. Three teaching gigs. Volunteer board work. Restoration planning and implementations both at the school trail and the big backyard. Starting a Master Naturalist certification course.
Even though I’m always doing something, I feel like I haven’t done anything. I’ve neglected my writing. I’ve missed put on social opportunities. I haven’t done a pushup in months. I’ve gotten stick in a quantity over quality approach.
Before I burn myself out, I need to slow it down. I’ll still be busy . That’s just who I am. But I want to take a healthier and happier approach to my active lifestyle.
In this second half of the year , I’m going to start by dedicating time to writing. It is a creative outlet I miss immensely.
Plus, with the hamster wheel of life I am in, I have plenty to write about.
