The Chilly Challenge
Dropping potential prairie seed is ideal when you’d least expect it.
Right before a snowstorm.
If you time it right, you can throw sown seed before the snow flies. It will cover the seeds, keep them cold enough to go through cold stratification, but prptect them from the wind and animals that might dispace them.
As the snow eventually melts, it softens the grounds and works the seeds in to the ground.]When spring is sprung, so too is the start if your prairie.
But the journey is just getting started.
